Push ups

The pushup is just the perfect exercise that builds both upper-body and core strength. Done properly, it is a compound exercise that uses muscles in the chest, shoulders, triceps, back, abs, and even the legs.


There are many variations to a push up and the beauty about it is, beginners can work their way up to a full push up, while you can find a challenging variation if you are more advanced. It’s such a versatile movement and can be done anywhere with no equipment needed, you can do the pushup as part of a bodyweight workout, a circuit training session, or a strength workout.

Be sure to add them into your next workout but it’s also a good idea to always balance it out with a back exercise too.
