Returning to exercise after giving birth!

Updated: Jun 3, 2020

After having your first child, some of you can’t wait to get back to exercise (like me) and some of you may get in a rut or be in your baby bubble, which either way is totally fine. It’s a whole new life experience and everyone responds differently. The important thing is that if your mental health starts suffering then it’s time to start looking after Mumma again, so you can be the best Mumma and version of yourself for you and your family.

Exercising after giving birth can improve your physical and mental wellbeing.

There are many benefits of exercising after giving birth? Here are a few:

🏋🏽‍♀️Helps improve your mood, relieve stress & can help prevent postpartum depression

🏋🏽‍♀️Increase muscle tone, strength & endurance

🏋🏽‍♀️ Boosts your confidence and body image

🏋🏽‍♀️ Improves energy

🏋🏽‍♀️ Promotes weight loss and improves your sense of well-being

🏋🏽‍♀️ Promotes recovery and helps strengthen your pelvic floor and abdominal muscles

🏋🏽‍♀️ Be a part of a community of like minded Mums that will not only inspire & motivate you but it’s an opportunity to make new friends on the same journey as you.

Always speak with your health professional first before starting a new exercise routine and remember, everybody’s journey is different. If you have major pelvic floor or any women’s issues after birth, it’s best to see a women’s health Physio before you can start our exercise program.
